|Romans 3:23 - "... for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, ..." (or perfection)
YOU ARE A SINNER
When the Bible says that "all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God", it means that we have ALL fallen short of God's standard of perfection. EVERY SINGLE PERSON! It doesn't matter who you are, or how good you think you are. In thoughts, words, and deeds, EVERY ONE OF US has fallen short.
Romans 6:23 - "... the wages of sin is (spiritual) death, ..." (or separation from God)
THE PENALTY FOR SIN IS DEATH
By sinning, we have earned death ... which means we deserve to die and be separated from God forever. BUT ... since there was no way that we could come to God, God Himself came to us ...
Romans 5:8 - "... God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."
CHRIST JESUS DIED FOR YOU
The Bible says Christ Jesis took the penalty for our sins that WE DESERVED and placed it upon Himself ... and died in our place on the cross! PRAISE GOD! The Bible says that three days later Christ Jesus came back to life in order to conquer sin and death and validate His claims to deity.
Ephesians 2:8-9 - "... For by grace (or undeserved favor) you have been saved (or delivered from penalty for sin) through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast."
YOU CAN BE SAVED THROUGH FAITH IN CHRIST JESUS
What does faith mean? Faith means trust. You can trust in Christ Jesus and depend on Him alone to forgive you and to give you eternal life. It can be very difficult to put faith in something that you cannot see. Many people try to rely on the Church, on their friends, on their good deeds, and even on themselves to receive eternal life. You must trust in Christ Jesus alone, and God will give you eternal life as a FREE GIFT! Jesus said "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me." There is NOTHING more important than your need to trust Christ Jesus.
